Taste and texture

Thanks to our blend of mesophilic and thermophilic cultures, GURT has a thick and grainy texture, unlike any other yogurt! Gurt has a fresh and creamy taste, with just a tiny hint of sourness, and can be enjoyed plain or with your favorite jams, fruits or nuts.

Nutrition

With roughly four cups of milk per one cup of tvorog, GURT is packed with up to 21g. of protein, which is much more than in traditional yogurt! A unique mix of probiotic cultures and a slow fermentation process make for a happier, healthier gut.

Convenience

You can eat GURT whenever and however you like, just like yogurt! Have it for breakfast or as a healthy snack. Eat it at home or on the go. Or lighten up your recipes by using tvorog instead of cream cheese!

Our story

Hi! We are Anastasia and Ruslan.

Originally from Russia and Kazakhstan, we missed the many dairy products that were so common in that part of the world but impossible to find in the United States. That’s why we started making tvorog at home, using the starter culture Ruslan’s mom brought when she visited us a few years ago.

One day, we realized that tvorog could become an excellent product that American consumers would like. Tvorog is delicious and nutritious and makes a perfect choice for breakfast or snack. What’s there not to like?

That’s how Gurt was born.
